Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor started off his career in Bollywood as an actor with the movie Ishaqzaade. His performance in the movie and chemistry with Parineeti Chopra was lauded by the critics and netizens alike. As other actors were getting launched because of their chocolate boy looks, he made a name for himself by portraying grey-shade main characters. While he saw the success of his early films, he has also witnessed a downfall as netizens have been criticising him for his talentless action. In the upcoming episode of Koffee With Karan season 8, he opened up about the same.

Arjun is all set to grace filmmaker Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan season 8, alongside actor Aditya Roy Kapur. Having seen their fair share of ups and downs in Bollywood, they will be opening up about their struggle. Talking about his box-office failures, the 38-year-old actor was asked about his nature to remain upbeat and have a sense of humour in the face of failure. Being one of the first actors of his generation to deliver a 100 crore film, ‘2 States,’ Kapoor pointed out that he has seen the high, working with different people, and showing different characters, he has done it all. He went on to mention that even Akshay Kumar has opened up about how he almost gave up his career after delivering more than 12 flops. He pointed out that even an actor like Saif Ali Khan didn’t receive much recognition before he starrer in Farhan Akhtar’s Dil Chahta Hai. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, he went on to add, “If my audience has loved me and connected with me because of the work that I did, they are not going to disconnect if I give them a good film. You can't control box office unfortunately, what I can control is the effort and the sincerity.”

On the work front, last seen alongside Bhumi Pednekar in The Lady Killer, Arjun Kapoor has Mere Husband Ki Biwi co-starring Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh in his pipeline. It is also rumoured that he will star as an antagonist in Rohit Shetty’s Sigham 3. The movie boasts a versatile cast including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff and Kareena Kapoor Khan, among many others.
